Testimonials

We recently did the trip from our home in Bringelly NSW to Cape York and back. Having travelled
around the world in planes and cruise ships for many years, we thought we should start attacking
our own country. What a great experience it turned out to be. Far exceeding our expectations.

We purchased our Travelander camper trailer 4 years ago. Although we have been on numerous
short trips, this journey was going to be a challenge. We travelled 8554 klms in total, travelling up
through Goondiwindi, Emerald, Charters Towers, Cairns and then went up via the Development
Road across to Weipa and then to Bramwell Junction where we decided to attack the Old Telegraph Track.

Although to this point we had experienced tough corrugations, the OTT was something else. The
Travelander performed fabulously, going everywhere we wanted. We camped at various river
crossings and although we didn’t dare “Gunshot”, we did go around it and continued our journey all the way along until we bailed out at Logans Creek and turned around. Too deep for our liking. We made Seisa and returned via the Bloomfield Track to Cooktown and then down the coast road home.

I can’t praise our Travelander enough. It’s comfortable, easy to handle and towed magnificently. I
still can’t believe it went where it did.

We took a long weekend and decided to take our new Travelander DC4 Evron Slide on Camper away for her maiden voyage. This new edition to our Bandit family is a compact easy way to be able to camp anywhere our car can take us and we can still tow the Bandit boat as well. This camper has hot and cold running water to the kitchen and shower (which can be attached to one of the doors so you can step inside to get dressed without getting dirty again) comfy bed, lots of storage and it opens and shuts hydraulically with a press of a button 🙂 We had a very comfortable weekend and are looking forward to our next big trip with this little baby. Big thanks to Darren from Travelander who also paid us a visit in Vic for some after market service which was really appreciated. We love our new home away from home. Cheers

Maureen and I have returned home after travelling to Alice Springs, to Boulia to Birdsville and then Adelaide. Our Travelander was great. We camped a lot of the time on stations. Normally we are in caravan parks. So we were really using the camper in a way for which it was designed (off road camping). Of course every night we were comfortable and warm. A big bonus. It towed beautifully through mud and water.  Great service from Darren while we were on the road.

Just got back from trip to the Kimberly including Gibb River road and its offshoots The dual cab trayback performed fantastically. Many places we could not have gone with conventional camper trailers (or even off road)Vehicle was BT50 which also performed above expectations.

“Our trip was along the Deddick Track over some challenging road conditions. The Travelander performed very well and as a result we had a very good trip seeing some idyllic and interesting areas along the Snowy River. The photos we took on the track do not do justice to the difficulty of the road. You have to see it to believe it. It is well worth the trip!”

“Hey Darren, it has been a week since we left you and we are delighted to report that all is well with out unit. Thanks again for offering a very good quality of back-up service to match the quality of the Travelander we now own. Maybe we will see you in Orange if you are passing through, Until then, take care and drive carefully on those long trips.
